Porcupine Tree’s Fear of a Blank Planet is great in almost every way musically but the thing that I loathe about it is the lyrics and lyrical content. It’s literally a 40-something Steven Wilson ranting about how awful, ill-mannered and video game-absorbed the youth of today are, and he generally paints it with an “and it’s all your own fault” attitude. Like yeah I’m no huge fan of my own generation but really?
He should probably just stick to writing about serial killers and/or nine cats dancing on the moon.

One of the best things that’s ever happened to me in the last 3 years is that I somehow stopped hating salads and started loving them.
